The Brewster Scoop closes on Labor Day weekend
The Brewster Scoop is a friendly, historical ice cream shop located on Brewster’s picturesque Route 6A. The Scoop’s origins are intertwined with the neighboring Brewster General Store, which has served the town since 1866. In the 1920s and early 1930s, an ice cream parlor operated from a small building on the east side of the store. During the Great Depression the parlor was closed and the building was moved eastward on 6A to the site of the third Unitarian church. It reopened in 1993 in the shed in the back of the Brewster General Store. Following many wonderful seasons, the Brewster Scoop, needing more space, moved to its current location in the former Brewster Post Office, on the west side of the General Store.
The Scoop is open from the Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day and proudly serves over 30 flavors of rich ice cream, delicious sundaes, fizzling floats, and frappes. We look forward to serving you this summer.
